In Jn.14:6, Jesus says, “I am the Way, the Truth and the Life. No one comes to the Father unless through me.”

Mother Mary is the first Charismatic: Jesus in her womb, the Holy Spirit overshadowing her and God overpowering her. In 1967, Pope John Paul II declared, “Let there be a New Pentecost.” As a result came the renewal movement called the “Catholic Charismatic.” (Note JPII was not pope in 1967. Can find no relevant papal pronouncement for that year. I think the quote is from John XXIII.) You and I are invited to be Charismatic like Mother Mary, “Full of the Holy Spirit,” to be holy like Jesus and to be his light to others by witnessing him to the hurting, dying, suffering, lost world. Today thousands of Christian retreat centers and churches all over the world conduct healing sessions and retreats where people of different walks of life commit their life to Jesus Christ. The greatest miracle is not healing but conversion/ transformation of one's life. However, the good news is that Jesus loves you and he cares about you, as Acts 4:12 says:

“There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved except the Name of Jesus.”

The English Charismatic Prayer Meetings are held every Saturday from 7:15pm-9:00pm at the parish centre under the guidance of our Spiritual Director Fr. Andrew and the core leadership of Sunita Mascarenhas, Simon Fernandes and Anthony Pereira. People of different nationalities come together for fellowship with God and one another. Psalms 84:10: “A day in thy court is better than thousand elsewhere.” As a result, every Saturday we have a joyful fellowship, gathering to praise and worship God, listen to His Word, pray for one another, testify what the Lord has done and go out and evangelize the world.

Miracles and transformation of lives are daily events in our prayer group, praise the Lord. Last year we saw tremendous changes in the lives of people. Bro. Aneel Aranha (Holy Spirit Interactive) conducted the Discipleship Seminar, where people committed themselves to Jesus to know him, to love him and to serve him.
